Find my past is a great place to find out where you came from. They have millions of entries that come from immigration, military, parish and census records. They offer a 14 day free trial so that you can try the service for yourself before you buy. This is a great feature because it allows you to use the service, navigate through their countless records, and find your ancestors. They have reasonable prices for their service and offer either a pay as you go option or annual payment. Another option is only getting the records from the U.S. and Canada which is half the price of worldwide data access. The majority of their records come from the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and the U.S., while they still have some records for the rest of Europe.

CONS for FindMyPast.com Reviews
One negative in FindMyPast.com is that they charge your card after the 14 day period. This is pretty common for most companies that offer free trials, where they will automatically charge your card on file without warning you. Although it can be a bit frustrating, it is quite simple to set a reminder for yourself in case you decide not to continue with their service.

The only reason that bad things on there happens is because noone reads the ‘terms and conditions’
Do not Trust
Be very careful of their “One Month” only plan. It’s not really just for a month ?
Without knowing it, I had omitted to tick a well hidden button on their website allowing them to automatically extract a further £10 a month from me without so much as a by your leave, for months and months.
Avoid this company at all costs
They are now refusing to refund the money they took from my account each month without my permission, even though they can clearly see that I only used their website for just a day or so.
This is clearly a very well rehearsed strategy and there must be many others in a similar situation to myself.
Zero out of ten for customer service.
A real Watch Dog opportunity waiting to happen!
