Pros: CLEARme.com Review
CLEAR – not to be confused with the internet service provider – is a relatively new company that makes going through airport security a breeze.
It is a great asset for the business traveler, or anyone who travels more than once a month.
By avoiding the main security lines, CLEAR allows their clients to get through the lines in mere minutes, saving them time and hassle.
After a very simple enrollment process, potential customers can see if they are accepted within 5 minutes.
Once accepted, clients simply use a fingerprint scanner, scan their boarding pass, and then are taking directly to physical screening.
Kids younger than 18 can use the CLEAR for free, which is great for families. CLEAR also offers members exclusive discounts with their partner network.

Cons: CLEARme.com Review
What I don’t like about ClearMe.com is that they are not ubiquitous. Looking at the map of their locations, they currently have 12 airports where clients can use the CLEARlane to speed their process through security.
As a traveler I would like to see more airports adopt the CLEARlane as it is a great benefit both to families and businesses alike.
Some customers have complained about a lack of an attendant at the machines during off times, as well as complications with their machines, although very rarely.
Another thing to understand is that you understand how the security works and what CLEAR actually covers.
There is CLEAR which gets you to the front of the TSA line, TSA Pre which allows you to not have to take off shoes and belt etc., and Global Entry which allows you to get TSA Pre priority when you enter the U.S from a foreign country.

Very pushy, almost bullied us into having lots of personal details entered. Not warned beforehand of all the details they’d take. Cancelled the service but they just list our names with a button to reinstate the service – ie they retained all our information.
Very bad and untrustworthy company. AVOID.
Hard to contact for support. Lead to believe was not automated renewal but it renewed without warning.
Received a charge for $179 that was NEVER agreed. This is a scam. I’m in the process of disputing the charge with my credit card company.
The aggressive agent approaches you when you are the most frustrated with the long lines in TSA-Pre offering you a faster way to get through security. She says you will not be charged unless you give permission to continue. 2 weeks later I was charged for a program that I had not agreed to. There were no emails asking if I wanted to continue. There appears to be no customer service to refund my charge. This approach and lack of response shakes my trust in an organization like this. I will likely wait in line in the future. My recommendation is not to engage their aggressive agent in the airport and don’t provide your credit card information. Get to the airport early and avoid this organization!
So far they saved me, in Baltimore. Spring Break, Covid and cancellation of flights. The airport was a nightmare. No one new where to go or check in BWI airport and too many people and not enough employees. It was a smoothe process. I would have missed my flight. I am flying out of Denver tomorrow. I will let you know. I gather they are a new company and it would be great if they could get into more airports.
I have a canceled membership and so does my boyfriend, both credit cards got charged after trial period although our accounts were cancelled. Checked out accounts to make sure we weren’t missing something, it states that we need to click to reactivate our accounts for $175.00 a year, although they already charged us that.

I was approached at DCA by a person who told me he can help with TSA pre check. The guy had very thick accent and a lot of things I could not understand what he was saying, which is OK, but only at the end of the enrollment he said that I will not be charged first month. He did mot provide any receipt of enrollment and I did not get any emails from this company even I have provided my email. I’ve check with TSA online and still could not confirm my membership till now when I was charged $179 by ClearMe the company I’ve never heard the name of!
We’ll looks like I should have checked them out prior to signing up. Same as all of the above. Free trial isn’t over yet and i get a $179 charge on my card. Not able to get ahold of anyone and the web site always takes you to a page that asked you to update your browser. Next step is to depute the charge with my CC company.
AVOID THE HEADACES, Run while you can. Definitely would call this a big scam!!!!
Hard to get a hold of a human! Terrible and charged card anyway when I tried to cancel service
I canceled during the trial period when I came thru DFW and the only terminal for Clear was in another terminal.
@ weeks later a charge of $229. on my card. This is a scam, at least at this point.
Like others no notification at any time, they don’t answer their phone, can’t get online, can’t reset…nothing.
AVOID
I tried to get set up for the 30 day FREE trial. They asked me about people that I do not know, after several attempts to prove who I am (including a retina scan) they said they were unable to verify me. I could not USE clear for the trip I was on, and I confirmed I was not enrolled because AGAIN they could not verify me. My card was just charged $179.00. I called their number and you can not talk to anyone, it’s a recording with a couple options. I tried cancelling and have no idea when or if they are going to refund my credit card. I am not happy!!! DON’t DO IT, ITS A TRICK!
Within the trial period, I asked them to cancel and purge my personal information from their system but they still charged my credit card.
While traveling on business my traveling partners get though TSA at the same pace as I do, and in some occasions speed through pre-check faster than I do. Only once in Orlando did I by pass the chaos of the Disney World crowd was zipped through security. I am not sure if I am getting any value from CLEAR. I did not that there is no way to contact the company through their web site. No customer service email or phone number.
Clearme.com us another HIGHLY QUESTIONABLE “business”. DO NOT USE THIEM as is following the Orwellian China tactics HELPED BY GOOGLE TO TRACK YOUR EVERY MOVEMENT and usher in a new Totalitarian Communist/Fascist state.
This is ridiculous big brother nonsense. We don’t consent!
