What LiveWatch won’t tell you right off the bat is that there some upfront costs when you first purchase your system. These can be as low as $99 up to $299 which adds up pretty quick. They also have another $19.95 fee for activation of your system. There have also been some reports of bad experiences when dealing with customer service. Another factor to take into consideration is the fact that there are no installers. While this may have its advantages, there are some inherent disadvantages. For example, if you have questions about your device and are having issues with your activation, you can’t just ask an installer. The installer would be able to answer those questions, but now you have to call and talk to someone that you hope can answer questions. In-person support is much different than phone support, but LiveWatch.com support claims to do a good job. On the other side of the equation, an installer would bring your monthly prices up significantly and therefore is a sacrifice that I would be willing to make for the LiveWatch service.
