A drawback to CafePress.com is the on-site graphic design tool is rather limited. Fortunately, there are ways around this.
You can use your own graphic design program to make your image and then upload it to the site instead of using the tools provided for you on CafePress.com.
This will probably be necessary if you have a very specific or complex design in mind.
If this is the case, or if you are not skilled at graphic design, it may even be worth it to hire a professional to make your graphics for you and then upload them to the website.
The profit margin tends to run a little low for the designer.
CafePress.com has the percentages of what you can earn right on their website so that you can figure up how much you may want to put out beforehand and what your profit potential may be.

I ordered a long-sleeve Agility T-Shirt in a size MEDIUM. They sent me a SMALL, which does not come close to fitting me. I cannot get anyone to answer my phone call (after holding for 1 1/2 hours), nor has anyone responded to two email messages. Don’t order from these people unless you want to take a chance they will NOT send you what you ordered, and you won’t be able to make a return & get a refund.
A friend of mine who lives in Canada purchased a gift from Cafe Press for my birthday and had it shipped to me in the greatest country on earth – the USA. The item was promptly delivered in perfect condition. My friend was a bit off on the size so I inquired about an exchange with customer support. The service was outstanding. They quickly made everything right at no extra charge. I can’t say enough good things about this online purchase experience!
Totally agree. They lie about delivery dates. So many reviews I read people were stuck with no gifts since CafePress Lies. Pathetic.
I ordered a pug ornament. It was delivered late. It was a cheap ceramic piece of crap that was not even printed correctly — was printed off-center. It looked nothing like the picture of the product online. I paid $18.39, so I expected something with at least some type of quality. Forget about it. They should be ashamed. This is a horrible company! Do NOT order from them!!!!!
