Pros: CheapOAir Review
CheapoAir.com is a website where people can expect to find affordable flights for their trips wherever they may want to go at this time. One can also expect to book cheap hotels and car rentals here.

Cons: CheapOAir Review
The site is also known for its bad customer service however.
There had been some cases where people claim to have been treated rudely by their personnel.
This can be quite frustrating, especially when you would like to cancel your flights due to long layovers you didn’t notice until the last minute.
Aside from that, the company has also been reported to process refunds 30 to 60 days later.
This can be quite a long time especially since some have mentioned on their CheapoAir reviews that it took the company longer than that to process.

A week after I booked 2 flights 3 months ahead of time, CheapOAir emailed a flight change with an 8 1/2-hour layover with a departure 4 hours later. The change was totally unacceptable for our schedule.
I found another flight with the same airlines with an acceptable departure, layover, and arrival on the same day. CheapOAir said their policy would not let them change because the layover was at a different airport. The only option was to cancel the flight, in which I would only receive $293.90 Back in 60+ days. The original cost was $791.08 per flight. So much for their insurance that I purchased through CheapOAir, that is also not refundable. BUYER BEWARE!!
I had a similar experience. Bought a ticket, with cancellation insurance, then had to cancel due to the pandemic. I was refused a reimbursement of $762 then filed a claim. I have been left in limbo ever since. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!
I received the same horrible treatment from them even though I had purchased cancellation insurance
I booked a flight with Cheapoair then realized there was a typo in my last name but it would not let me correct it tried calling but there was no answer called the next day to be told they can change it but it was going to cost me $50 administrators fee very disappointed with this as I could see if it was an entire name change but it is only one letter wrong in the last name I would not recommend this company to anyone the only reason I kept my flight as I am going down for a funeral/wake name that they want to charge to be changed Baker but in my ticket it comes up as Baket legitimately it r and t are side by side on the key board clearly a typo
FRAUDULANT COMPANY! TRIED to purchase tickets…Upon issuing immediately noticed that both the DATES and TIMES of travel did not match what was literally on the screen a moment ago. We IMMEDIATELY called customer service to spend LITERALLY 11 HOURS ON HOLD on 3 separate calls over 3 days. EACH CALL ENDED WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP LITERALLY HANGING UP ON US. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.
I used cheapoair to book a vacation. Then covid hit. They actually charged me to change my trip. They refused to give me a refund! If I had gone directly through an airline I would have gotten a full refund. One of my flights had a 4 hour layover then another 5 hour layover before I got to my destination. I called them and wanted to change that. They wanted to charge me again. I called the airline and got it changed for free. I will NEVER use cheapoair again. I will always book directly with the airline!!!
POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. CURRENTLY ON A CALL WITH THEM FOR CLOSE TO 1 1/2 HOURS TO CHANGE A FLIGHT. LIKE A PREVIOUS CONSUMER REPORTED THERE WAS A 15 HOUR LAYOVER WHICH WAS NOT NOTICED. TRYING TO CHANGE HAS BEEN A CHORE. I AM STILL ON HOLD TO COMPLETE THE CHANGE. I AM GETTING CONCERNED BECAUSE THEY HAVE MY CREDIT CARD INFO. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. THIS IS RIDICULOUS.
CheapOAir is passing the buck on giving airline ticket refunds onto Norwegian! This third party so called travel agency is just a third party scam company taking people’s money for airline tickets to Italy and then when you try to get refund on airline tickets due Covid and a Pandemic with no flights from US to Europe is ridiculous! Now Norwegian is filing for bankruptcy since Sept2020. CheapOAir decides to tell this now to customer on FEB2021 they can’t get refunds from Norwegian due to filing for bankruptcy wth… why wait to tell customers this after the 6 months of knowing this fact! Customers gave you there money not to Norwegian so CheapOAir should refund the customers then go after Norwegian to get there money back?? DO NOT use CHEAPOAIR BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE and POLICIES! Is that how they work by telling customers to figure it out on your own on getting your refund now and continue to say they UNDERSTAND YOU ARE FRUSTRATED REALLY WOW!
Two things. First Cheapo (nor any of the travel agencies) can refund airfare. They buy the tickets in ‘bulk’ from the airline. The airline sells them a block of tickets but has no further information on you nor your travel until close to the date of travel. If you call the airline…even with a confirmation number…they will tell you that you must contact the travel agency. If you contact the travel agency they will tell you that you must contact the airline. Circular argument. The people that you can ‘thank’ for this legalized THEFT is the USDOT…Dept of Transportation…which regulates virtually all aspects of public transit from cabs to air transport. Horse whipping is FAR TOO GOOD for them…but…when you track it all the way to the end…its an Obama administration hangover like so many things are. I’m sure that he and many others got a closet full of cash for that one. Hold on to your hat though…its fixing to get infinitely worse.
Trip was cancelled due to Covid but Cheapo charged me $35 a Ticket because we did not use ($70 for 2 of us), now booked direct through American Airline and they charge another $50 Each for doing nothing! What a Rip Off. WILL NEVER USE AGAIN! Terrible company taking advantage of people during Covid. Why wont this rating allow me to select amount # of stars? if more than one this is not correct.
I’ll be buying my plane tickets somewhere else from this point forward! I suggest you do the same!
Cheapoair has twice screwed up my flights and cost me well over $1000. Both times they blamed me for the mistakes, and the first time I let them… which is why I used them again. Their customer policy seems to be “We will most likely screw up your booking, but if you don’t catch it in time, too bad for you!”
We are Seniors 78 yrs. old and booked a vacation in 2020.
Paid $1400 plus for the tickets.
Cancellation insurance was part of the ticket price.
WestJet said we must speak to the booking agent for a refund.
CheapOair came highly recommended by frequent flyers.
Our flight was cancelled and our hard earned dollars are GONE.
CheapOair will not reply to multiple e-mails or phone calls.
Where is the justice or legal right to keep our money and not get
a 100% refund.
You get what you paid for! How true this is for CheapOAir. You will get a very good price for a flight – but that is it. Everything else you would expect or would consider ‘standard’ does not exist or is so poor that you wish you would have spend a bit more and get a decent deal.
Read through all the feedback and I can assure you that this is all true and accurate. After my flight cancellation (cancelled by the airline), I am still waiting for my money (minus ~ $600 for CheapOAir fees ….. yikeees, yes!). As expected, no response from their billing department ….
Complete RIP OFF. Placed an air fare that they got incorrect and then they wanted $1,700 to cancel. After hour with someone on INDIA and left on hold for an hour I gave up. Found a flight with a reputable site. DO NOT USE
Had to call an agent because the website couldn’t remember my selections. Had to cancel due to illness and the merry-go-round started. The call center is in the Ukraine. 1st agent was so poorly trained with a terrible accent, I had to hang up and call again for another agent. The second agent was a little more understandable, but lacked basic cancellation info. If I had taken his advice and used the future credit option with the airline ( I bought insurance ) I would have lost 90% of my fare with NO option to use the insurance down the road. To make matters worse, cheapoair charges $50.00 per person to cancel the booking. They profit from the ticket sale ( insurance reimburses NOT cheapoair ) then profit from your illness cancellation. I had to call the next morning to speak with a third agent to actually cancel the flight. Do yourself a favor, use a travel agent, as after you add on all of the extra charges, it’s really not worth it using these online sweatshops.
Never use cheapoair. I bought the insurance bec I had 5 of us going on trip, $2400. Had to cancel due to illness. Cheapo charged $175 for cancellation. I didn’t get my money back but can use it within a year. Insurance didn’t pay for the cancellation charge or the cost of the insurance $250. So I’m out about $500– and I bought the insurance!! Useless. Don’t use cheapoair don’t buy the insurance. Very long wait on phone and hard to understand their terrible accents..
We booked and paid for a flight costing $1400 plus for two people in 2020.
We purchased flight insurance in case of cancellation.
Unable to get anyone to respond to our e-mail, or phone calls.
They…Cheapoair continue to send promotional e-mails to buy more flights from
them. Spoke with Airlines wsho deferred us back to Cheapoair.
Shame on them for keeping our money, we are seniors and worked hard for our vacation dollars.

CheapoAir supposedly backs their service but in my case the failed to perform. First was so late a connection could not be made, another flight was arranged that arrived two hours late. The my car rental was cancelled since the car rental company gave away my vehicle and refused to honor the contract. response from CheapoAir was “Nothing we can do” I’d advise against using them ever.
If you have made travel arrangements through CheapOAir and are told to contact the airline directly about a problem, you are wasting your time. The airline will inform you that you must deal with CheapOAir. Only CheapOAir can make changes!!!
We booked a flight for vacation but when we arrived at the airport the flight was overbooked and we would have to wait 3 days to get the business class seats we wanted ( I’m disabled and need extra leg room) We took a same day later flight but had no choice but to accept coach seats as only availability. Cheap OAir owes us several thousand dollars price difference refund and still have not refunded our money after 3 months. I just got an email today, they want us to accept 1/3 of what they owe us. We did nothing wrong, the airline overbooked the flight, we had to not only take a different flight altogether but had no chance at all getting the seats we paid for..They HAD to have already known that prior to taking our money!!
