Every website has its drawbacks, and ebags is no different.
One of the major issues deals with the length of delivery time.
If a bag is in stock and the order is confirmed, it will get to you.
But it may take up to a week to receive your wares instead of the few days stated on the site.
Another pet peeve deals with the lack of confirmation emails after ordering a product.
Quite often, bags sell out and need to be back-ordered.
But the order may go through on the customer’s end anyway.
When that occurs, customers expect a bag that doesn’t arrive.

Purchased a leather backpack from ebags for a gift and need to exchange the color. Well no response from Ebags customer service. There is no phone number just an email address that no one replies to. I’ll have to donate this item and purchase elsewhere. Beware “all sales are final”.
I’ve ordered from ebags for years. Never had a problem until recently, but now will NEVER place an order from ebags again. Long story short: I think ebags is about to go bankrupt and has resorted to scamming their customers to survive. Perhaps an unfortunate victim of Covid-19, but that doesn’t mean they have a right to steal out of their customers wallets.
No legitimate e-retailer would tell you their certificate codes are not working for several days! They told me to place an order with my credit card and then call back to request a refund after they could check my return store credit balance with their “home office.” What kind of sense does that make? They could just check right away and help me place the order on the phone – but they said they couldn’t do that either.
The selection of goods continues to decrease, the price discounts continue to increase, they have removed their customer service telephone number form the ebags website, and they now say they return store credit and gift certificates are no longer working. Too many red flags. Run, don’t walk away from this garbage scamming!
I purchased a fairly expensive leather bag with a telescopic handle. Within about 4 months the handle got stuck, rendering the bag virtually useless.
After contacting customer service, it took them exactly 20 days to respond… I finally received a reply from one of their “Customer Success Agents” (seriously…) stating that international customers can basically take a hike if anything goes wrong with their purchase after a whopping 30 day period.
Zero customer support success. What an utter joke. Avoid like the plague!

After trying unsuccessfully to post a review on their website, I contacted customer service. Back and forth emails, I proved the product was purchased with ebags (it was in my account!) Unable to post a review, they agreed to post it for me. When there was a hint of negativity to it, they declined, saying they could not post it because that color is not available. Yet initially they only required proof of purchase from the shop! This is bogus. Buyer beware. The “finish” is coming off of the “GENUINE LEATHER” handbag handles.
I paid extra shipping to have delivery before Christmas. I received an email saying that they canceled my order because they couldn’t get it here before Christmas. Then they shipped it after Christmas at full charge…when I no longer needed it because it was obviously a Christmas gift that I ended up replacing with another product. So when I received the cancellation email, I emailed them back saying I did not want it and it was supposed to come before Christmas. Then they said I had to wait to receive it and they would send a return shipping label. When we finally got the product, reached out for the return label, and sent it back, we STILL only got a partial refund, had to go through a ton of hoops and had to pay a premium for shipping before Christmas. Not to mention they charged a warehouse replacement fee without my knowledge that was never refunded, even when they got the product back. What a complete waste of time and money. As someone who online shops frequently, I have never run into so many problems with a company. This place is a scam!
I will be posting this review to as many sites as humanly possible. I purchased a bag for school from them a few years ago, and everything went fine. When they started sending me promotional emails, I attempted to unsubscribe. The emails stopped for a while, but started up again. I attempted to unsubscribe, but their link to do so is broken. I contacted eBags via email to ask to be unsubscribed, and they said they would. Waited some months… the emails started up again. One of the email tag lines sounded like they were threatening me to buy from them. “You’ve earned your $10.00 in Reward Points. Now, Spend Them!” Again I contacted them and again it was confirmed, by email, that I would not receive any more emails from them. At this point I filed complaints with BBB and the FCC. Again, the company informed me that I would not receive any more emails from, and that my email address is not in their system. The emails stopped for days, but what did I find in my inbox this morning? ANOTHER eBags promotional email! I’ve tried so hard to divert their emails to spam, but their email address keeps changing. I’m at my wits end. I’m beginning to think eBags is a scam business. I’m going to report all future email from eBags as phishing, because I can’t afford to delete the email account. Please don’t ever buy from eBags. If you do, they will harass and harass and harass you to make another purchase.
