Is Points.com Legit, Safe or a Good Deal?
Pros: Points.com Review
Points.com is a revolutionary company that has made it easier for consumers to manage all of their royalty programs in one place.
After setting up an account, it was really easy to start adding loyalty programs.
Within a few minutes, I was able to view all of my loyalty programs in one place. Some programs even have the ability to transfer points and miles between them.
I like that you can see all of your programs in one place, and how clean and simple the user interface is.
Points Loyalty Wallet also provides an app for Apple and Android devices so you can manage your accounts on the go.
While this is great service for consumers, it’s also an excellent opportunity for companies to start a loyalty program of their own and promote and strengthen their brand.
- Track and Manage Over 110 Loyalty Programs in One Place for Free
- Swap & Redeem Points and Miles Between Programs
- Create a Loyalty Wallet for All of Your Accounts
- App Available on Apple and Android Devices
- Great Opportunity for Companies to Promote Through Loyalty Programs
Cons: Points.com Review
There were some things that I felt could be improved in regards to their service.
First, the list of companies is not all-inclusive.
There are still some major loyalty programs that are not on the list yet.
Secondly, they need to have more companies that are willing to transfer miles and points between each other.
At this point, there are only a select amount that are willing to do this, and which can be seen on Points.com.
- Not all Companies are Included
- Need More Companies That are Willing to Transfer Miles & Points
total rip off. Westjet dollars are being sold here at 2 times their value. So they lure you in with an offer of 20% discount on westjet dollars (which are worth 1 dollar each) and try to sell them to you for 2 dollars each but then the 20% discount. I was going to buy 2000 westjet dollars (worth $2000 dollars on trips or flights and they wanted $3200 for them. Total scam hoping people won’t look too close at the bottom line I guess.
I was charged $120.00 by Points.com to transfer 12000 Rapid Reward points via my Southwest Airlines Web account. This is very misleading that SWA website doesn’t note that they use a third party to transfer reward points and the SWA website does not mention that there is a fee to transfer points. They ask for your credit card number at the end of the transaction which leads to believe it is the rewards credit card. I called and complained, then found this info out from Customer Service Relations 1-855-234-4654 opt.5 after noticing my Rapid Rewards Credit Card was charged the fee once the points transferred. It is not right that SWA is not transparent in the FAQ’s to let customers know there is a fee to transfer or gift points and there is a third party that SWA use called Points.com that will charge a fee (which is the cost of the total points) to their company. This is definitely not transparent and not to mention a rip off and scam by this third party. It should be noted on SWA’s website regarding a fee will be charged by Points.com to transfer/gift your points that you already earned! Not a happy customer!
So I just transferred 20,000 points from my rapid rewards account to my daughters account and doing so charged $200 Ugh !! Better off to book her a flight and still maintain my 20000 pts DIsgusted !!
Points.com does not allow transfers between two persons, only between some accounts of one person.
Yes, the same thing happened to me. They DO NOT make it clear than in transferring reward points (you’ve already paid for) you pay for them again. It seems shady and scam-like to me.
I do not recommend doing business with Points due to lack of customer service. I made a purchsase of Choice points and three days later they are still not in my account. I contacted Choice who was useless and points can only be contacted by email.
