Once you book your show, they are processed at the venue’s box office in real time.

Cons: From The Box Office Review

While there are a lot of good things about FromTheBoxOffice.com, I did find a few drawbacks to their service.

Although they don’t have any hidden fees, they do have some extra processing and handling fees.

If you are able to buy the tickets in person, this is a much better option.

However, if you are traveling from overseas, you may have to pay the extra amount for convenience and ensuring that your tickets to the show will be secured.

Also there were a few customer service complaints about the staff from FromTheBoxOffice not having an extensive knowledge of each of the venues.

This is probably a common issue, as not all customer service employees would have the knowledge of each venue.

  1. I booked online , two seats @ £30 each . On collecting them @ the theatre,i saw £25 each seat , printed on each ticket.
I queried why the extra ten ounds i paid online ? I was told the website called The Box Office adds this charge.
I was not aware of this when booking , so i will not use this site again. What a rip off.
Much better to have pitched up @ the actual REAL box office @ the theatre & buy the tickets for £25 each.

Had issues with their site when booking seats. While I selected the correct dates it defaulted today’s date. Result tickets booked for the same day and not the date selected in November. I was refused a refund, told it was my fault but then went to book again and bugger me it did the same thing. This time I did not buy the tickets.

I have contacted them but customer service is awful and have had no response to my contact re my second attempt!

    Be very very careful

I also find that “no hidden fees” has to be taken with a pinch of salt. The service provided does not justify paying £60 over what the venue itself charges. Staggering if you consider they might get a discount. Factoring in my risk it becomes outrageous The website seems to work well enough lately, unlike a travel site you are not comparing prices for a similar service. There is only one venue for your seat. There is also no means of contacting Theatres for information or special arrangements. It is little more than a bucket ticket shop. They do not even touch the tickets in most cases. They must have an awful lot of fraud hits to be charging this much.

+ PROS: Can hold tickets during booking process. (So can venue).Accept Amex. Will post.
    - CONS: £15- £20 fee per ticket over the "face value".Additional consumer risk.Acting as agent without full disclosure.
